New Canvas Animation Chapter, JavaScript Challenges, Object Property Shorthand Update and Slack Community
November 24th - December 1st
Let us look at what we worked on in BigBinary Academy from 24th November 2024 to 1st December 2024.
JavaScript Course Update
This week, we added 8 new lessons, and 5 new challenges, and improved the content for 3 existing lessons covering topics such as Promises, Animation using Canvas, and Object.
We have added a new Canvas Animation chapter with 7 lessons and a challenge. These lessons guide learners step by step through creating smooth animations using the canvas element, covering concepts like requestAnimationFrame, clearing the canvas, and basic animation logic.
Here are the newly added lessons
New Challenge: Color Splash Bounce Box
The Canvas Animation chapter concludes with the Color Splash Bounce Box challenge, where learners apply these concepts to build an interactive animation featuring a bouncing box that changes colour whenever it hits the canvas edges. This challenge tests all the concepts covered in the chapter.
Test your animation skills with the new challenge here.
We have added three new challenges this week that test learners on concepts like Promises, timeouts, intervals, and DOM manipulation.
Simulating File Upload Operation

Simulating a Payment Operation

Based on learner feedback, we have introduced a new lesson and challenge on Object Property Shorthand. We have also improved the first lesson in the Object chapter to better explain why using objects is better than relying on separate variables.
Join our Slack Community
We have a Slack community for learners using BigBinary Academy courses. Whether you are stuck on a challenge or want to discuss solutions, this is the perfect place to connect with other learners.

Thank you for those step-by-step tips! I love how EchoAPI simplifies JavaScript API testing, allowing me to focus on coding rather than debugging.
