New JavaScript Challenges, Improved HTML Assessments & Semantic HTML Code Snippets
December 2nd - December 6th
Let us look at what we worked on in BigBinary Academy from December 2nd to 6th December 2024.
This week, we added 3 new challenges and improved the content for 9 existing lessons and 4 challenges covering topics such as JavaScript Array Methods, Basic HTML Elements, Semantic HTML and HTML Media Elements.
JavaScript Course Update
We added four new challenges this week that test learners on JavaScript array methods.
Here are the newly added challenges.
HTML Course Update
We have updated our HTML Course challenges to provide the solutions alongside. This change comes directly from the learner feedback, where we noticed that many queries stemmed from minor issues like missing text or spelling errors, rather than HTML coding mistakes. These errors often left learners confused and unable to progress.
With this update, learners can now view the solutions to all HTML assessments.
Now when a learner clicks on the View Diff button which appears after the first time you run the code, a modal opens up displaying a comparison of their code and the correct solution. Differences are highlighted and marked in red and green, as shown in the screenshot below, making it easier to pinpoint discrepancies between your code and the correct solution.
Test your knowledge with these updated challenges.
We have added CSS styling to the code snippets in all the lessons and challenges in the Semantic HTML chapter to visually differentiate sections like header, main, footer, and article. This improvement aims to make the code snippets more visually engaging and appealing to learners.
