New Lessons on Nodes, DOM Collections, and the Window Object; Assessment Updates, HTML Improvements, and Our New Logo and Landing Page
November 15th - November 23rd
Let us look at what we worked on in BigBinary Academy from 15th November 2024 to 23rd November 2024.
JavaScript Course Update
This week, we added 8 lessons, 1 challenge, and improved an existing one for better clarity.
Three new lessons and a challenge were added to help learners understand the key differences between nodes, elements, and DOM collections. Understanding the return types of various DOM methods is important to choosing the right one for a specific use case.
Here are the newly added lessons
New Challenge: Task Management App
In this challenge, learners build a task management app that dynamically updates the task counter as new tasks are added. This challenge helps learners understand how the differences between live and static collections affect real-time updates.
Test your skills with the new challenge here.
Five new lessons were added to help learners understand the window object and its properties, an important part of working with the browser environment in JavaScript.
Here are the newly added lessons:
New Landing Page and Logo.
We have launched a new home page to better showcase what BigBinary Academy has to offer. Check it out here.
Along with this, we have also updated our logo to give BigBinary Academy a new look.
Community Feedback
Fathan Alam highlighted a confusing section in an Images and Links Assessment, which caused an incorrect solution on his part. Based on this feedback, we have updated the content for better clarity. We have also added a new task to the same assessment to practice the recently introduced target attribute for links. Check out the improved assessment here!
Sagar Anadkat highlighted a couple of issues in our HTML lessons, including a non-functional source and poster URLs in the Attributes of Video lesson and a typo in the Nav element lesson. We have addressed both these issues and updated the lessons accordingly.
Thank you, Sagar and Fathan, for the feedback.
