Let's look at what we worked on in BigBinary Academy during the week of 12th May 2024 to 18th May 2024.

CSS Course Update

This week, we have added a new lesson on margin collapse. The lesson serves as a good introduction to the concept of padding. While styling your table, when the vertical margin doesn’t help you add more space at the top, padding makes more sense. We added this lesson to help learners have a smoother transition from margin to padding. We have also updated the lesson on padding to add more practical uses for it. Take a look!

Added a new Batch

We have added a new batch of students from NIT, Calicut to the workshop. We welcome all the 300+ learners who are joining the BigBinary Academy Workshop. These are students from different branches who would be spending four hours daily working on BigBinary Academy. We look forward to working with them.

Student Highlight

Sohini Achary is a final-year student from IGIT, Bhubaneshwar. She has been consistently covering BigBinary Academy for 6-8 hours every day. She has been working on our Learn JavaScript course. Sohini has been consistent and we are happy to have her with us.

Community Feedback

The folks from GEC highlighted that one of our exercises had a question and solution code mismatch. The question asked students to add asterisks, whereas the solution wanted underscores. We have updated the exercise based on the feedback.

Sreehari identified a problem with one of our code snippets in our Ruby on Rails course. The problem has now been removed. Take a look!
