EventPropagation, StopPropagation, LinkedIn Page, new Showcase Page
14th January - 20th January 2024
Let's take a look at what we worked on in BigBinary Academy in the week of Jan 14 to Jan 20.
Added second exercises to Date, String & Mutation Chapters
In an effort to increase more practice, we have added second exercises for lessons. The links given below are to single lessons, but remember to check out the whole chapters. There’s a second exercise after each lesson in the Date, String Methods and Mutation chapters.
Standardized Test Cases
We have been standardizing the number of test cases across our comprehensive exercises. This time we updated about thirty comprehensive exercises.
Checkout an updated comprehensive exercise with four test cases.
Added lessons on Event Propagation And StopPropagation()
We have added a new concept in our HTML DOM course. The `stopPropagation()` chapter should especially be of help for React developers who need to handle multiple events triggering on the parent and the child elements. The chapter goes briefly into the concept of event propagation before discussing how we can activate an event on a child element and simultaneously stop an event on a parent element from getting triggered. Created a LinkedIn Page
We now have a LinkedIn Page. Do follow to get updates.
Showcase Page
The learners of BigBinary Academy have been building great projects for a while now. Over the course of time, they have created a lot of projects. We believe that some of these projects need to be highlighted for the effort that the learners have put in them. This is why, we built the showcase page where you can check out projects and get inspired!
If you’re interested in building projects too, here are a few starting points:
Student Highlight
Hariharan and Srikanth are Final Year students of Computer Science in the JJ College of Engineering and Technology, Trichy. They have been consistently covering BigBinary Academy for two hours everyday. They have finished our HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React courses. The last course that they were working on was the Basic React course. They have both been consistent and working together, they have come a long way. Kudos!
You should check out their To Do List projects. Here’s Hariharan’s To Do List Project and here is Srikanth’s To Do List Project.
